September is National Preparedness Month

National Preparedness Month starts today!

This year’s theme is “Disasters Don’t Plan Ahead. You Can.” Each week will focus on how individuals, families, and communities can engage in preparedness actions at home, work, business, school, and place of worship. Don’t forget to be counted by adding your preparedness activity to the America’s PrepareAthon! website at https://www.ready.gov/september.

  • Week 1:  September 1-9                        Make a Plan for Yourself, Family and Friends
  • Week 2:  September 10-16                    Plan to Help Your Neighbor and Community
  • Week 3:  September 17-23                    Practice and Build Out Your Plans
  • Week 4:  September 24-30                    Get Involved! Be a Part of Something Larger

For more details about National Preparedness Month, visit: www.ready.gov/september, #NatlPrep or the Marin County Sheriff Office of Emergency Services at https://www.marinsheriff.org/services/emergency-services.
