Town Council News


At their April 10, 2018 meeting, the Town Council decided the following items:

  • Approved minutes of March 27, 2018.
  • Acknowledged and filed warrants issued during the month of March 2018.
  • Proclaimed April 15-21, 2018 National Volunteer Week
  • Proclaimed April 8-14, 2018 National Library Week
  • Approved Special Event Application 34 Greenfield Avenue for a Spring Fling Partner Cross Fit Competition to be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Approved Special Event Application Merrie May Faire to be held on Saturday, May 5th from 12:30-4:30pm on the Town Hall Plaza.
  • Approved sending letter to Transportation Authority of Marin request they consider greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and climate change in all its decisions, including final decisions regarding TAM’s Measure A Reauthorization proposal and consider funding electric vehicle and school transportation programs.
  • Approved request of Jim Baum, Farm Stand operator, to operate the Farm Stand on the Town Hall Plaza this summer from May to October, 2018. 
  • Appointed members to Board of Review and Arts Commission. 
  • Received presentation from Smoke-Free Marin Coalition.  
  • Continued a public hearing for 600 Red Hill, Assessor’s Parcel No. 006-091-13; Robert Nobili, owner; to introduce  “An Ordinance of the Town Council of the Town of San Anselmo Rezoning Property Located At 600 Red Hill Avenue (APN 006-091-13) from R-2 Medium Density Residential District and C-3 Commercial District to R-2 Medium Density Residential District and PPD/SPD Preliminary/Specific Planned Development District and Approving the Specific Plan for the PPD/SPD” to the April 24, 2018 Town Council meeting.
  • Approved Reimbursement Agreements and Award of The Alameda Improvements Project.
  • Introduced and waived the first reading of an ordinance amending San Anselmo Municipal Code Title 5, Chapter 5, to add section 5-5.07 (Storage of Personal Property on Public Property).
  • Oak Springs Emergency Repair Project:
    • Approved the slope stabilization project at 139 Oak Springs Drive.
    • Authorized staff to advertise for bids.
    • Authorized Town Manager to award project to the lowest responsible bidder.
