A Stroll Through History Returns

Mont Hall

Historical Commissioner Dick Miner’s popular Stroll Through History returns this year. Travel back in time with Dick and other members of the Historical Commission on a walking tour through downtown San Anselmo. The tour will highlight San Anselmo’s historic Hub, the role of the railroad in the development of town and the changing character of the businesses and architecture on San Anselmo Avenue over the years. The tour will end at the Historical Museum for refreshments.

This year the Historical Commission will also sponsor a Stroll Through History in one of San Anselmo’s oldest neighborhoods—the Seminary area. The tour will highlight the quiet beauty of San Francisco Theological Seminary, its history and fine architecture. Refreshments will be served along the way. This tour does involve stairs and uphill and downhill walking.

Stroll Through History Downtown— August 25 and October 27 at 9:00 a.m. at Creek Park.
Stroll Through History Seminary Area - September 22 at 9:00 a.m. at Montgomery Chapel (Richmond Road & Bolinas Avenue).
