San Anselmo Public Library's Centennial Video!
A special thank you to all who participated and attended the San Anselmo Public Library's 100th Birthday Party earlier this year! The evening began with a reenactment of the original 1915 dedication of the San Anselmo Public Library. The reenactment was filmed by students of Sir Francis Drake High School and the video is now on YouTube. Click this link to watch the video!

Drought Update with the Marin Municipal Water District

Where does our water come from? What is the total storage capacity and what are the current storage conditions? Dan Carney, Water Conservation Manager for the Marin Municipal Water District, will answer these questions and address Marin County's current drought situation, including state and district regulations, how Marin residents are doing with reductions, and a few possible points on the El Nino prediction.

Music as Muse: Compositions in Art Inspired by Music

Music has been a major source of inspiration to artists throughout history, from Vermeer's depictions of women with musical instruments to Whistler's "nocturnes" and Kandinsky's abstract "compositions." This Art Talk will take you on a virtual tour of music-related works in the collections of the Legion of Honor, the de Young, and beyond.

Centennial Reading Challenge:
100 Stories in 2015
The Library is hosting a year-long Household Reading Challenge: 100 Stories in 2015! Each household that takes part will receive a Centennial Challenge Reading Log where participants will write titles of stories read. For every ten stories completed, visit the library with your reading log to claim a raffle ticket for a chance to win fabulous prizes. Everyone is invited to participate and sign up!
