Current Flood Projects

The Town of San Anselmo with the County Flood Control District has been actively working on Flood Control projects within the Town and Ross Valley.  San Anselmo has obtained over $20 million in funding towards 5 of the 9 projects identified by the County for the 10 year workplan towards 25-year level floor protection.

Bridge

BRIDGES-The Town has obtained funding to replace 4 bridges in San Anselmo including the Nokomis Avenue, Madrone Avenue, Bridge Street, and Center Boulevard Bridges all of which have been identified as constriction points causing flooding in Town.

San Anselmo Flood Risk Reduction-With the removal of Memorial Park as a potential detention basin and park the Town with the County has identified alternative projects as part of the San Anselmo Flood Risk Reduction. For more information visit Flood Zone 9 or click on the link above.

The San Anselmo Creek Restoration Project is a number of projects within Creekpark and Downtown that could reduce flooding in Downtown San Anselmo for the 75 to 100 Year level flood events.
