Marin Villages - A Ross Valley Village Community

A membership organization supported by local volunteers that empowers older adults in San Anselmo to be active, connected, and independent while staying in the place they call home.

Whistlestop Transportation

Whistlestop provides a variety of programs and services to expand mobility in Marin and beyond.

  • Carepool Program
    • This program imporves the quality of life of older adults in Marin by helping them get to medical appointments or the grocery store. FREE rides to Marin County residents 65 or older and to people with disabilities. Call 415-454-0927 or e-mail carepool@whistlestop.org to sign up for CarePool.
  • Travel Navigators
    • Travel navigators help older adults and people with disabilities understand the various transit options available to them and walk them through the process of becoming eligible. By phone, e-mail, or in-person, this is a one-stop shop to help you get the most out of Marin Access.

  • Catch-A-Ride Program
    • Catch-A-Ride is an option that enables seniors age 80 and older, seniors between 60 and 80 who no longer drive, and paratransit eligible riders to take taxi rides at a discounted rate within Marin County.

  • Paratransit
    • Pre-scheduled, door-to-door bus transportation in Marin County for people with disabilities who have been certified as unable to ride our fixed-route bus system either all or some of the time. With this service, rider who cannot access our general service routes can still maintain their freedom to travel around Marin.
