Hal Brown Youth Scholarship

The Hal Brown Youth Scholarship Program has been established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to children from lower-income families making it possible for them to participate in high quality recreation programs. Scholarships are limited to children sixteen years of age and under who reside within Marin County District 2. (See map below for details or visit Marin County District Lookup)

Scholarship Information

If approved, scholarship families will receive up to $300 in funding which can be used towards any camps, classes, or programs offered through the San Anselmo Recreation Department. Recipients will be required to pay any remaining balance once the $300 has been exhausted. Please note, scholarship funds are limited and will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

Scholarship Application

In order for an application to be considered, the following documentation is required:
1) A signed and completed scholarship application (See below for link)
2) The most recent years copy of your signed 1040 tax form. Even if submitted online please sign before submitting any tax forms. If you are not required to pay taxes a notice of action letter from any of the following public assistance programs will suffice:
- CalFresh, SNAP, Food Stamps
- Medi-Cal
- Public Housing Assistance
