Greetings from your San Anselmo Library.
The Town Manager and I have made the difficult decision to close the Library starting on Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Given the current state of the Coronavirus pandemic, we feel that now is the right time to limit social exposure to help prevent the spread of the virus. By closing our facilities we reduce the risk to all of our patrons in the hope to keep San Anselmo healthy.
We will continue to answer our telephones and email, library@townofsananselmo.org, to assist you with any questions -- information, renewals, OverDrive -- anything really. Call us -- we love to talk to you.
Follow the San Anselmo Public Library on Facebook for the latest news: https://www.facebook.com/sananselmolibrary. We’ll post interesting stories, too.
The library’s wi-fi (named Library and with no password) is strong around the perimeter of the building and in the lobby. Please use it.
Visit our virtual library filled with e-books, e-audio, e-magazines, streaming music and movies that you can access anytime from anywhere. Visit our e-Library page to take advantage of these services: https://www.townofsananselmo.org/642/E-Library. Plus, these are fun to use and explore. Tell your friends.
All items currently checked out will have extended due dates and fines on San Anselmo materials will be waived. We want to help make this difficult time a little less stressful for you.
We plan to provide some services during the closure and are working out details for curbside delivery for your holds. We will continue to process holds you place online and will take them outside to you when you call 415-258-4656, Monday-Friday, 10:00am-3:00pm. We will have more details available on Monday.
This situation is something no one has dealt with before and we are trying our best to balance keeping our community safe with still providing some level of library service. During these difficult times, escape provided by a good book or movie can be essential to our well being. We thank you for your understanding and the staff looks forward to opening our doors again soon.
Sincerely,
Linda Kenton
Town Librarian
