Providing Resources and a Volunteer Program During the Emergency

Are you a Senior over 65 or unable to leave your home due to quarantine, illness or other reasons? We want to ensure that all our community members are safe and have what they need. If you need help or a call, click the button below.

Volunteers of ALL ages are wanted now to help connect the community and assist those in need. All volunteer opportunities will be low contact, or no contact tasks including our Check-in and Chat program and online programming leadership. In the coming days, we hope to have an essential errand volunteer program for those who are unable to leave their homes. Click the button below if you would like to volunteer and assist our community.

All Town of San Anselmo offices and programs are currently closed until the end of the Shelter-in-Place Order (currently May 3rd but is subject to change). However, the Town and Age Friendly task force know everyone, and especially seniors, need help connecting to resources and adjusting to the new information coming out daily.

The Task Force is also looking for volunteers of ALL ages to help the community and those in need.

Some of the other volunteer efforts we hope to put in place over the course of the next few weeks are:

  •    Leading activities or programs by video or phone (Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, Meditation, Art, Online Book Group, Morning Coffee Chats
  •    Walking a neighbor’s dog
  •    Phone call wellness check-ins
  •    Grocery/Pharmacy pick-up and delivery

If you would like to volunteer please use the button listed above. If you need support with anything please use the button above and completely fill out the form.

For all other inquiries, questions, or concerns please contact the Age Friendly Task Force Chair:

Sara Robinson, srimpacts@gmail.com  (240-838-0868)

Knowing that we have neighbors over 65 or less-abled who only use a phone for communication, we are encouraging all residents to reach out to your neighbors and check in on them. Please let them know they can call the Age-Friendly program leaders to be placed on the main emergency volunteer check-in system. By doing so they will receive regular volunteer welfare and check-in calls, and receive volunteer program assistance when possible.
