The Millennium Playground Community Advisory Committee (MPCAC) is asking the public to come join in the effort to restore Millennium Playground. Located at Memorial Park, the playground is 21 years old and in need of some TLC.
Working with Town staff, the MPCAC has established a plan to get the necessary work done in five 'Work Days'. These work days have been scheduled to run on five consecutive Saturdays between April 17th and May 15th. Each day will have a specific plan and scope. All materials will be provided, all that is needed is willing hands to help get the work done.Lunch and beverages will be provided.
The MPCAC is asking for volunteers to sign up to help at one or more of the upcoming work days. There are two options. The first is to sign up to become a Supervising Project Leader. These positions are set up to help supervise the work on each work day. A background in carpentry and/or general contracting is desired for these slots. An orientation meeting will be held on the Tuesday prior to each Saturday work day to review that week's scope and plan. Town staff and members of the MPCAC will attend the orientation and the corresponding work day.The second volunteer opportunity for the work days is to join as a Community Volunteer on one or more of the workdays. These positions will be assigned work on-site and will help complete the work for the chosen Saturday.Volunteers can sign up by visiting SanAnselmoPlaygroundProject.org.Thank you and we hope to see you at the playground!Sincerely, The Millennium Playground Community Advisory Committee
