Introducing the New Town Website!

The Town of San Anselmo is proud to announce the release of our new website.  This new, mobile-friendly site includes all of the basic functionality of the Town's  previous site along with the addition of new tools and options have been implemented with the new website that we hope will provide a better and more productive user experience. Check out the site and tell us what you think: www.townofsananselmo.org.  Please send questions and or comments about the new site to: ddonery@townofsananselmo.org This feedback will help us continuously improve the site and its contents.

One feature that we are excited to unveil is the"Virtual Town Hall" platform. You will find this link located on the lower right side of the home page. This link leads to a page where you can weigh-in on a subject or issue happening in the Town. The Town is hoping this will encourage more civic engagement with our residents.

Saturday, November 25 - Town Hall Plaza - 1:30 to 3pm

The Town of San Anselmo invites you to join us in a Celebration of Gratitude hosted by Children For Change. The Ross Valley Children for Change Club is a child-led organization dedicated to helping others both locally and globally and who's members are making change for good!
 
The entire community is invited to join the party! There will be snacks, refreshments and an unforgettable performance by the acclaimed Kenyan Boys Choir.  The Choir has performed at the White House & shared the stage with musical guests such as Demi Lovato & Toni Bennett.  Be sure to bring blankets and some warm clothes and come cozy up and relish in the holiday cheer!

Happy Thanksgiving

Town Thanksgiving Office Hours

Offices at Town Hall, the Recreation Department, and at  the Library will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th.

While Town Hall offices are closed, the Police and Fire are on duty and in touch with management staff to ensure quick and thorough response to any issue that may arise.

Saturday, December 2, Imagination Park – 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Join your community and celebrate the holiday season at the annual San Anselmo Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 2nd. Come downtown to shop, dine and enjoy an evening for all ages. Cub Scout Pack 50 kicks off this celebration, which includes complimentary refreshments, holiday entertainment, and FREE pictures with Santa himself.

FREE Holiday Parking for Shoppers

 
The Town of San Anselmo is providing FREE four-hour parking to holiday shoppers. The free four-hour holiday shopping period begins on Friday, November 24, 2017 and will continue through Monday, January 1, 2018. During this period, the parking meters will not be operating. There will be enforcement for parking over the four hour limit. And, as always, the disabled, red zone and other safety related parking violations will be enforced.

Marijuana is Legal: NOW WHAT?

The Town of San Anselmo is a partner in the Coalition Connection, a Marin-based organization who's mission is to work collaboratively across all sectors of the community to significantly reduce the incidence of underage use of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs. We strive to change unhealthy community norms for adults and youth around substance use through community engagement, education and environmental strategies.

This Coalition is hosting an upcoming community meeting titled: Marijuana is Legal: NOW WHAT? The topics will include the pros and cons of legalization, Town and County regulations, and how legalization affects local youth.

Speakers will include Dr. Matt Willis, Marin County Public Health Officer, Don Carney, YMCA Youth Court, Dr. Genovese, Addiction Specialist, Captain Hamid Khalili, Central Marin Police Authority.

Today at 11:15am, the community is invited to a presentation titled "Housing Options in the Area"-----Are There Any?  Whether you are a homeowner or a renter, low income or high, come learn about shared housing, junior second and accessory dwelling units; subsidized housing and apartment complexes, etc.
