Storytime Hiatus in August

Our wonderful Children’s Librarians are taking a storytime break during the month of August. There will be no toddler, family, Spanish or French storytimes until September. This gives the Librarians a chance to plan new and fun elements to all those amazing programs and, to catch their breaths. We’ll miss seeing those adorable faces but please keep reading and singing until we meet again.

Parking Lot

Funded in part through an agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board, the Town is repaving and re-configuring the Magnolia Avenue Parking Lot.   To help filter storm water runoff, bio-retention landscaping will be installed, along with landscaping, Magnolia trees and overhead lighting.  With help from the Transportation Authority of Marin, the number of electric vehicle charging stations will be doubled.  The parking meters will be replaced with a single pay station.
Team Ghilotti and their subcontractors have been working diligently since work began on July 16th.  The parking lot is expected to be closed to the public for about 8 weeks. Access to 25 Tamalpais back driveway, Taco Jane’s back lot, and the private Downtown Storage lot off Kientz Lane will be available as work allows.

During this time, parking lot users will be directed to other Town lots at Pine Street and Creek Park, San Rafael Avenue as well as other nearby side-streets - Tamalpais Avenue, Magnolia Avenue and Tunstead Avenue.  The employee lot behind Town Hall is open to the public after 5 pm on weekdays, and all weekend.

For information about this project, please contact Scott Schneider, Assistant Public Works Director, at or 415-258-4653.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this important project.

The movies will run in Creek Park on Saturday Nights from June 2nd until October 27th (with the exception extreme weather conditions and on July 21st for the Beatles Tribute Concert). The 2018 season movies were selected from an exhaustive list of requests from members of the community, merchants and business owners, then cross-referenced and licensed by the Motion Picture Association for public viewing.
