San Francisco Boulevard Improvement Project Comes to a CloseAs the San Francisco Boulevard Improvement Project comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone involved. Especially, our residents for their patience through the process.
Over the years there have been numerous complaints from residents in the San Francisco Boulevard neighborhood about speeding cars, cars rolling through stop signs or not stopping at all, illegal parking, lack of adequate crosswalks and overall pedestrian safety, traffic noise, and road condition.
With community input through public meetings, Town staff designed the new traffic pattern to address these concerns. As with all pavement projects, Town staff partnered diligently with utility agencies to update their systems. In addition, staff secured funding to help pay for the project. The was project was made possible by San Anselmo Tax Measure D, Transportation Authority of Marin's Measure A and B, Senate Bill 1, and funding from utility contributions.
I would personally like to thank our Assistant Public Works Director, Rachel Calvert, for her dedication and leadership during the project. She is a true asset for the Town of San Anselmo.

Countywide Rebate Program Electrify Marin is a countywide program to reduce natural gas use in homes. This program is funded by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and provides incentives to homeowners to replace existing natural gas water heaters, furnaces, and stoves with high-efficiency electric alternatives. The County of Marin is offering rebates to single family property owners for the replacement of natural gas appliances with efficient all-electric units, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges and cooktops. Replacing natural gas appliances with electric models will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve indoor air quality, and make your home a safer environment. Rebates range from $250 to $1,000 dollars per replaced gas appliance (or $250 to $4,500 for income-qualified households). In cases where installing a new electric appliance would require an upgrade to the existing electric service panel, further rebates are available to offset the cost of the additional capacity. Visit www.marincounty.org/electrify to learn more.
